Ahsoka, do you happen to know any good Norwegian online store that ships internationally and is known as reliable? I've never imported anything from Norway yet but would be interested in some Norwegian releases and Nordic titles that get released first in Norway

I've never ordered any discs from Norway myself. Did a quick search and the only store in English I could find was http://www.megastorenorge.no/. It seems to be the same as megastore.se though.
Looks like http://www.dvdhuset.no/ might ship internationally but there's no English language option.

My guess is that these titles also will be released in Sweden at the same time by SF (Svensk Filmindustri).

However, they have not been listed here yet:

I always run into this shop first when I look for Norwegian online stores:

http://www.dvdstrax.com/no/

I don't know if they are any good or if they ship internationally though. I've never had a burning need to order from Norway yet but it would be nice to know the best source shop when the need comes

For example "In Bruges" by Scanbox seems to be released in Norway about 1 week earlier than Denmark and Sweden and it wouldn't hurt to get it earlier but I'd rather buy from a trusted store so I'll probably go with megastore.se or axelmusic.dk in the end.

Is anyone aware of any other Scandinavian stores that ship internationally apart from www.Axelmusic.dk and www.Dvdoo.dk?

DVDStrax appear to be the cheapest but it doesn't look like they ship internationally. I can't find an email address for them in order to ask, which is a pain.

Thanks

www.megastore.se ships internationally and is in Sweden.
www.zailor.no seems to ship internationally to European countries and to U.S. but not to Japan.

I know 2 stores in Finland that say they ship internationally, www.boostep.fi and www.filmifriikki.fi, but obviously the ordering user interface in both shops is not much used for international orders. Currently www.boostep.fi doesn't allow me to proceed to step 2 in the ordering process (it used to work though) and filmifriikki.fi adds some kind of extra VAT on top product price when they should remove the VAT, so instead of getting -22% you get +22% added on top of product price As a result I can't currently order online from Finland properly. I have some friends in Finland anyway so I can ask for some help when I need it.

anybody know if "Fanny and Alexander" made it out?
that title has long been in my top 10 hd wants.
I'm a big Bergman fan.

Also: which sites have English options for ordering and product info.
I looked at megastore and it looked pretty damn foreign.
I'm still working on my French, and haven't gotten around to Swiss or Norwegian yet.

As far as I know, Fanny and Alexander did make it out in Norway already and is coming out in Sweden and Finland in early December. It's available for pre-order in megastore.se too. I'm expecting to get one from Finland later.

Megastore has English support but some title related information may only be available in Swedish, try this link below or click on the EU flag on the main page when accessing through the simpler link.

http://english.megastore.se/

Axelmusic.dk has English option too for the page.

In Finland Swedish was a mandatory second foreign language in school so I studied it for at least 10 years through various levels of school and university, but I've forgotten a lot since I didn't use it much at all afterwards. Norwegian and Danish are close enough to Swedish to make it possible to understand enough when reading the websites.

great!
I'll take a look.
I'm sure there will be no English subs on the Bergman film, but I might get it anyway.
also, what about the "3 Colors" Trilogy?
Did that make it out either?

3 Colors is very much missing in action, I just issued a cancellation request for mine on Sunday because it had been more than a month since the original release date and megastore had no idea when it's actually coming out if ever. The distributor "Noble Entertainment" is really unreliable when it comes to getting their announced Blu-ray releases out. I wonder if they still have any releases out though they've announced plenty that then never saw the light of day...

By the way, according to Megastore's entry Fanny & Alexander does have English subs.

http://english.megastore.se/template...itemid=2039314

Subtitles
Svenska för hörselskadade, finska, norska, engelska, holländska
Sound
Svenska DTS HD 1.0 MA
Picture
1080p HD, 1.78:1, 16:9

It's confirmed by this pic of the back of the case:

wow!
you just made my day!!
it's gotta be locked though, right?
my friend just got the LG player so at least I could watch it at his house.
Honestly I just suck at making internet retailer accounts and placing orders.
I think it's cause I'm old compared to people that grew up with computers.
I'm going to try and order this today though.

It might well be unlocked, Svenska Filmindustri releases seem to be often marked B but actually unlocked. Not sure until confirmed though.

If I can see clearly enough from that rather bad pic of the case, there seems to be a B symbol there...
