I'm pretty sure this is the French title for ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK...so hopefully we won't have to wait long for a better Blu-Ray. (release date is supposedly 10/23):

god let's hope it is indeed better.
It certainly cannot be worse than the Optimum garbage.

if its being released by StudioCanal then I would imagine it will be exactly the same given they have a deal with Optimum.

Yep, wouldn't risk pre-ordering it as Optimum has their transfer from Studio Canal. Probably the same crap transfer, so I'd wait for reviews before ordering it.

Yeah we'll certainly find out if it was Optimum or Studio Canal who dropped the ball on this one...if it's the same crap transfer we know who to blame. On the other hand nothing Studio Canal has released has come close to the hideous quality of ESCAPE so we'll see.
