Default "French Connection I, II", "South Pacific" Coming To The Netherlands in Nov!!

info provided by member ahsoka!

All of these titles are shown on a Dutch list as coming to The Netherlands on Nov 4th! These were rumored to be coming, and it looks like the rumors were true. Certainly expect US announcements soon.
btw: "Conan The Barbarian" as well the 50's classic "The Day The Earth Stood Still" are also both on the list for Nov 5th.

French Connection I & II! Whey-hey, two of my all time favourites.

I hope Fox doesn't DNR the crap out of them. French Connection looks murky and gritty because it's meant to look like that. This won't be a demo movie by any means.

PS3, XBox360 with add-on, Sony BDP-350 MultiRegion for DVD and Blu-ray.
Still looking for a bigger house and a sense of purpose.

yeah I'm very worried about "The French Connection" also.
I'm not too optimistic.
I don't think these studios have a clue how to present these kinds of films.
It seems the bigger the title the more they think they must screw with them.
That doesn't bode well for this one.

Fox are region B only for catalogue titles, yeah?

Me and my Japanese PS3... Still, I'll get to watch the Criterion stuff.

Fox actually has a number of region free titles from looking at the various sites.
But I'm sure these releases will be announced for NA soon.
I highly doubt Fox will give The Netherlands exclusivity of these for any length of time.

Yeah they'll probably be released through most of Europe. The Blu-Ray market here in the Netherlands is extremely small so an exclusive release wouldn't make sense.
