Default In Bruges (Scanbox, Nordic) coming in December

In Bruges is coming out in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland in December, it's going to be released by Scanbox.

I've seen the HD trailer on many other Scanbox releases (looks great) and I'm very much looking forward to this one. I haven't seen the movie but at least the IMDB score is very high and it looks pretty interesting based on the trailer.

All other Scanbox releases I've checked so far have been region free and they look very good with AVC encoded video and high quality DTS-HD audio tracks and optional subs in Nordic languages. All of them are on BD-25 discs so far and extras are typically in SD PAL, though some HD trailers are usually included as well in the extras menu. I have 8 of them so far.

http://www.scanbox.com/

Danish release: 16-Dec
Norwegian release: 10-Dec
Swedish release: 17-Dec
Finnish release: 31-Dec (according to some online stores, not yet listed in Scanbox homepage)

I couldn't find a pre-order entry in the biggest stores yet but I think this will be listed in www.axelmusic.dk and www.megastore.se as a pre-order pretty soon. I think it was added to Scanbox' homepage very recently.

The movie's British homepage: http://www.inbruges.co.uk/

Yeah, I'll post pre-order links as soon as I find them. I also believe that the PQ will be excellent based on the HD trailer.

Are there any sections in this film that would be in French / Dutch / Flemmish subtitled in English?

Thanks,

Leynos

The whole movie is in English, as far as I can remember.

Great flick, by the way. The atmosphere in the theater was great when I watched this, and the horribly politically incorrect and pitch black humor still makes me laugh when I think about it. Even so, I think I would rather wait for a Dutch or British release before I buy it on Blu-ray.

It should work in region A machines as well as all the Scanbox releases so far seem to be region free although they have region B written in the back cover. Just hoping they don't suddenly change this policy.

Most extras (not sure what they have on this one) may not work in region A (no PAL) hw though. Those Scanbox releases work fine on my Japanese PS3 except for the extras (though the HD trailers do work).

Yeah, I'm after [REC], it was supposed to come out in Finland on 6th of August but was postponed to October. Might get Kite Runner (probably from Sweden) too. Cleaner was released a bit earlier in Finland, I already have it and watched it the other night. Great PQ/AQ but the movie was pretty mediocre in my opinion.

In Bruges (Scanbox release) is not likely to include English subs. Scanbox seems to always include Danish, Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian subs and sometimes also Icelandic but none of their releases so far seem to have English subs. A Finnish DVD forum that announced this release listed Danish, Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian subs, I think Scanbox homepage doesn't yet list the specs.
