The Kite Runner [Sweden] Flyga Drake 27 Aug
I've ordered from the Megastore in the past. Good service, but

I received The Kite Runner from Sweden (megastore.se) today. They shipped it on Friday so the delivery was fast
 It seemed to be released with a bit of delay.Some essential specs: Video: 1080p/24 (according to back cover), 2.35:1, AVC encoded Audio: Original language (English etc.) DTS-HD 5.1, DD 5.1 Subtitles: Optional Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish It is region free though the back cover has a B symbol. Works fine in my Japanese PS3. I'm glad it has Finnish subs as the movie does seem to have some non-English dialogue. Not sure how much as I haven't had time to watch much of it yet. PQ and AQ seem to be pretty solid too, somewhere in the 4-5 star range. Extras seem to be in SD PAL, they don't work in my Japanese PS3. They are listed as "Words from the Kite Runner", "Images from the Kite Runner", "Khaled Hosseini Social Action PSA", "Trailer" in the menu. There is also a commentary track by Marc Forster, David Benioff and Khaleid Hasseini. It's released by Sandrewmetronome. http://www.sandrewmetronome.se/video/ I'll post more details here later, no time to watch this tonight as it's too late.

English Track and subtitles Kite Runner
Kite Runner BLu-ray:
For the non-English speaking parts which there's a lot does the disc provide English subtitles or only Danish, Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian?

There aren't any English subs on the disc for those non-English parts. Only the Nordic subs are available. No subs are integrated into the video image itself.

real shame this hasn't been released by Universal in the US.
what in the world is taking so long? Universal really needs to do something to get caught up. I don't believe they have released one catalog title on Blu that was not previously on HD DVD. Is this going to be the way they roll? "Jaws" and "Jurassic Park" could be coming in 2015 at this rate.

 yeah I mean what the hell is going on Paramount?   where is "The Kite Runner"?  good info regarding "8 Mile" maybe "Jurassic Park" and "Jaws" won't take until 2015.
