DDDHouse just listed the Chinese version of Lust, Caution. And it's basically coming out the same day as the Korean version. But the Korean verion looks the way to go. Seems to have a little bit more extras (the booklet and Korean subs).
http://dddhouse.com/v3/product_detai...ProductID=8741 and the korean version over at DvdFromKorea.com

I haven't seen this film yet but heard many things about it.
Any movie with Tony Leung is worth a look IMO.

My Korean edition has been shipped today from dvdfromkorea.com. I'll probably receive it early next week. I'll post some info when I have checked it.

I received the Korean edition. Since it was sent as registered mail and I was not home yesterday when they tried to deliver it, I went to pick it up from the post office today at lunch break. So I have it in my hands now but could not check it on my PC yet.
Back cover has the following details: Video: 1080p High Definition 16 x 9 Widescreen Audio: Mandarin PCM 7.1 / DTS-HD 7.1 / DD 5.1 Subtitles: Korean, English, Chinese Running Time: 157 Mins Approx Layer: Dual Layer (50 GB) Special Features: - Tiles of Deception, Lust Affections - TV Spots - Theatrical Trailer - Photo & Poster Gallery Back cover has region A symbol, I'll confirm if it's really region A or free when I get home this evening. I think the DTS-HD track is a lossless Master Audio track because there is a DTS-HD Master Audio | 7.1 -logo in the back cover as well. Looking forward to watching this. I'll try to get cover pics as well. |

Seems like the Korean and the HK discs are the same. Only the cover/disc art and booklet are different.

You can find it easily there by searching for "Lust, Caution". The URL never changes when I access different entries there so I can't provide a direct link. The price there is $31.99 + a bit for shipping ($6 to Japan). If you want some other disc(s) from Korea it's good idea to combine to the same order, at least for 2 discs the shipping was exactly the same when I ordered other discs from there before. They have a tab for "K-Movie on Blu-ray" on the main page, only 4 releases there so far though. I think Yes Asia and Play Asia etc. would also have at least the Hong Kong edition already. DDDHouse also has it as mentioned in the first post in this thread. (I still avoid DDDHouse because my CC doesn't work there for some reason.) |

It's region free and the disc image takes up a lot of space:

right on.
as always thanks for the great info. asian cinema seems to be really thriving on bd right now. I wish more classic European fare would get in the pipeline. I don't understand what say "Artificial Eye" in Britain is waiting for. Let's get some Blu-ray's coming out guys! |

I watched the movie last night and I liked it a lot. It's quite slow paced but looks beautiful throughout and the performances are subtle & excellent and the story is memorable and gripping. Lot of psychological layers there. Though it was very long at 157 minutes I didn't feel bored at any point in time and I stayed wide awake until finishing it at around 2:30 am
![]() PQ was pretty good, there's good level of detail / sharpness all the time. A couple of the darkest scenes have quite heavy grain but I don't have a problem with that. The colors were a little bit unnaturally warm at times but it could just be the original look of the film (I haven't seen it in a theatre). Overall it looked fine to me. AQ was nice as well, mostly dialogue and music. The cinematography, sets and locations and period setting all looked very authentic and beautiful. The music was also remarkable at times. The main extra is a 17 minute Making of -type document in SD resolution and it's with English audio + English subtitles. Interviews with director and main actors etc. The Photo & Poster gallery is in HD and looks very stylish. |

Hey Kannisto, I just got this today also. On the dvdfromkorea site they advertise an 8 page booklet. Is that the little poster that came in the case or did you get an actually booklet?

I think it's the poster only, I didn't take that out from the case yet but I don't think there's any separate booklet hiding under it...

Nope I checked. I thought I was actually getting a real booklet with it. Oh well. That's probably why they didn't advertise that with the chinese version.
