Default "Die letzten Tage" (Sophie Scholl) Coming To UK 10/27

This 2005 German WWII drama has an 8.0 rating at imdb which is obviously very high.
looks like a great movie for sure.
hopefully it will be region-free because we know it will have English subs.

I bought it from Amazon.co.uk so I will let you know if it is region free or not once it is here.

great look forward to hearing about this one.
I'm thinking it will probably be locked, but hopefully not.

It is region-free, excellent quality. Offers only a PCM Stereo track.

Thanks for the info on this Arkadin and Pro-B. I just ordered mine from BlahDVD. They expect to get it in stock in 2-3 days (Amazon was also out of stock currently).

I like BlahDVD with small orders since they only charge 1 GBP for shipping per disc and their prices are often cheaper than Amazon's, though they don't do VAT reductions.

Lately Japanese yen is very strong against US $, GBP and Euro compared to what it has been for many years, so I'm enjoying importing even more than usual

EDIT: Already got the ship notice e-mail from BlahDVD today - 29th.

This has received great reviews and is available from Amazon UK. I can't seem to find any information concerning the BR release. Does anyone have any information please?

I merged the new Sophie Scholl thread to the existing one.

I should be receiving my disc soon as well.

EDIT: Got it today, but didn't have time to watch yet.

Mine came yesterday. Decent image quality, AVC with 2.0 PCM.

The extra features seem to be in NTSC, which will please buyers in region A.

Case pics:

Nicely region free and indeed everything including the extras works on my Japanese PS3. I didn't watch the movie yet though, just took a quick look. It looks decent based on a glance.

I watched this movie last night and it was very good. The actors are very convincing in their roles. I think the PQ was also very fine overall, very good level of detail and grain seems to be intact AQ is sufficient though nothing special (LPCM stereo only anyway).

Some quick screencaps taken with Nero 8 ShowTime and converted to JPEG with best quality settings using Total Image Converter.
