I just watched the last film in the trilogy and didn't like it at all. I only want the first film.

So, is the animatrix coming with this set? All I am really interested in is the first movie. I can stomach getting the set if it comes with the animatrix in HD and I can watch the car chase scene from the second movie. The third movie is absolute garbage though and the second was ok at best.

love the trilogy! I'm one of the few that believes that the 2nd and 3rd hold up well with the first.

I really hope that the animatrix comes in hd.. Final Flight of the Osiris would look pretty amazing i'm sure.

I'll rebuy the first movie, but not the entire box set. Hope they release them individually.

agree with you both. i liked them and got a lot of the philosophical plot points a lot of the critics seemed to miss, or not pay enough attention to anything but bullet time to notice.

yea some of the acting is always top notch here and there, but i still love this trilogy.

well thats one trilogy down and what, 4 more big ones to nail?

lord of the rings
star wars (even though im not much the fan)
indy

and last but not least...my favorite trilogy ever...

back to the future.

Want the first film which means I will have to get the whole trilogy. Oh well, haven't seen them on but at least they will be demo material.

I don't know if I can refer to the whole trilogy as a masterpiece lol. But I didn't hate parts 2 or 3. As usual, the first movie was so good in my book that I had expectations and they didn't quite hit them. Unless I can get a really good deal on the whole set, the HD DVD set I have will do since it also contains the TrueHD track.

If The Animatrix is included in HD, I'll double dip and get the whole trilogy.
