So to someone who has never seen the movies. Is it better to hold out for the US releases or go ahead and get these?

I was very tempted to blind import it, however Night Watch was shown on TV a few days ago (finally watched it tonight) and I am very glad I didn’t buy it. I wouldn’t say it was bad but it just wasn’t really remarkable as a vampire/thriller/action movie (no real scares to be a horror – watching it at 11pm in a dark house) and lack of substance meant it couldn’t be any more than that. To me it is the type of film one might buy if it was on sale but it is not worth import prices imho. So I’d recommend renting it first if you are tempted.

I'm hoping that the US release will include the comic book subtitles. So, personally, I'm waiting to see what develops there.

The animated subtitles add a lot to the presentation of this film. If they are not offered in the US release, I will be very disappointed.
