Studio Canal are doing the UK version and this is the review of what was on the HD DVD version they released. I havent heard of the Blu release being a 2 discer and would doubt there is going to be branching seeing how Fox couldnt do it for a film as short as AVPR. My bet would be the theatrical cut but at least the soundtrack is lossless.

I emailed the distributor a while back (Optimum Releasing) and they have confirmed that this Blu-ray will be the 148min Director's Cut.
I replied and asked for further detail and got this:
EXTRAS
Bios, trailers, commentary and 5.1.
(Awaiting to get more extras to release a Special Edition.)

Guys i hate to burst your bubble but really a director's cut, i live in the UK & all i've heard is "theatrical, theatrical, theatrical......" Thats why i just imported the u.s. lionsgate release. But anyway whys everyone so jacked up about another re-release of T2 again..... You know Escape From New York is out on blu-ray in the UK that same day!
& made by optimum.

Optimum has been region coding their Blu-rays.

Total Recall and Terminator 2 will both be Region A + B. Once I sell my T2 HD DVD I am gonna preorder both.

I just can't let go of my Ultimate HD-Edition.
If Kinowelt re-releases it on Blu-ray, then I might consider a double dip. But that's if the movies aren't region coded. My Set-Up:
LG 42PQ30
Dish Network ViP 612 DVR
Sony Playstation 3
Toshiba HD-A2, Xbox 360 HD DVD add-on

Some guys on the blu-ray.com forums have got this already, they took a pic of the back cover and it has both A and B region logos on it.

Credit to Batman2 on the blu-ray.com forum for pic.
Also, from the looks of things the menus seem the same as the Directors cut HD-DVD so it may be a direct port over.
I took a chance and ordered from a UK site.Last edited by kennerado; 08-03-2008 at 02:46 AM. Reason: credit for pic

theres screenshots over on avs and from what it seems its still only a bit better than the lionsgate.
the hd dvd version is still superior for whatever reason. i have terminator on blu, t2 on hd dvd, and t3 on blu. Would of been nice to get this. I cant think of a movie other than terminator 2 that I have bought so many times since the vhs days.Meet The Spartans = worst movie I have seen of all time. If you own this
