It's locked to region B. Haven't tried it myself, but I noticed someone posted it on a website somewhere.

just watched this last night and the transfer is pretty solid, during the really dark scenes its not quite as crisp, but its meant to be shot on handhelds so just adds to the effect, i've seen it on sd dvd and this is a big upgrade, anyone who can play region b should be happy if you import it.

I really didn't expect this to be out in the uk as i only really look at the us release dates but i was just wandering round the supermarket and there it was. bonus.

Good to hear, I have this on the way. Too bad it's region B though as it means I have to spend extra time on a region bypass workaround in order to watch it on my main setup.

They should really give up with those outdated region coding concepts already...

What is this "region bypass workaround" you speak of?

Agreed. But you've sparked my interest because I don't really plan on waiting for the domestic release so if there is a "bypass" please share the knowledge.

It's now officially scheduled for a U.S. release.

I posted it in the Weinstein Co. Blu-ray plans, it's in the regular Blu-ray forum, not imports.

Sorry, I didn't look into this thread recently. I can't watch any original region B discs on my main setup (Japanese PS3) so when I get one I need to create a region free backup of it on my PC in order to watch it using my PS3 & my main HDTV. Might not be technically legal in some countries so I don't plan to write any instructions. A better workaround would be a region free / patched player but those are not so easily available yet at least in Japan. On my PC setup I can also play region B discs but then I have to use my 24 inch monitor and stereo sound only, so it's not quite as nice.
