I think I am going to have to buy Welcome to Dongmakgol.... I own it on DVD, and I dont ever expect it to make a US release. My DVD looks amazing, the move itself is a little strange, but its one of those movie trying to show the North and South bonds, and trying to make a point in the end. So you have this emotional bonding going on plus great battle scenes with a good amount of blood. I love Korean Cinema....

As for Taegukgi it is a War fav.... but I just bought Assembly, I can hold off for a while longer even though it hurts to wait. I would like to see this released in the US due to the movie being long and my friends short attention span to movies that dont have a dub.

Truth is though If somehow I can pick them both up for 30 dollars or less each, I will have to buy them both, but I doubt it.

This site has these new Korean releases listed and since it's in English, ordering should be easy. A friend of mine said he's ordered a lot of DVDs from there and never had any problems. The prices are not too bad either. I think I'll get Brotherhood and that Welcome to ... from there.

Jup, DVDfromKorea is a great shop. I've been ordering almost all of my Korean Limited Editions from them.

Welcome to Dongmakgol is amazing, easily one of my favorite recent Korean releases. dvdfromkorea.com is the only site I use to import Korean discs, I've probably dumped a grand into that site. They have some awesome deals if you're patient enough to wait and they also get occasional OOP LEs that they don't mark up for new stock.

I just preordered those 2 from DVDfromKorea yesterday, the site seems to work nicely and the shipping cost was reasonable too. Looking forward to receiving my package.

I see that they have Lust, Caution Blu-Ray through that site coming out 6.20. But region 3? I thought Korea is Region A like the US.

It seems they state DVD region codes in the Blu-ray entries on the site. Those can be ignored... Lot of sites don't mark the region information properly.

I'll need to order Lust, Caution from there after my first package has arrived.

Seems these came out as expected, my Taegukgi and Welcome to Dongmakgol have been shipped yesterday (by registered air mail) according to the order status on the site. All 4 new releases are shown as being in stock now. They have a tab for K-Movie on Blu-ray that shows all 4, can't provide a direct link as the URL never changes but it's easy to spot on the main page on the right side.

I didn't get any e-mail about the shipping though. This was my first order there so I don't know how they usually operate. Looking forward to receiving my package and will post some impressions when I have received them I hope air mail from Korea to Japan goes fast, never received any packages from Korea before.

Welcome to Dongmakgol.
Beautiful to look at and quirky.
Great characters.
Funny, sad and touching.
8.5/10

The Host
Just plain fun and one of the coolest monsters I have seen in quite sometime.
7.5/10

Taegukgi
Solid story about 2 siblings on different sides of the war. Tragic in its message, shot well, and at times overly acted. I always think of Saving Private Ryan when I see this film. IMO the film was a little too long.
7/10

Debating on Yesasia or DVDkorea.... Both come out to be same price in the end... Yesasia takes forever to arrive and it looks like dvdkorea does as well. So its just gonna be a coin toss.

I am going to place my order this evening when I get paid.
