dont forget if you live outside the European Union you can subtract 17.5% from that price (making it about £14.85) as you dont pay sales tax. You do still have to add postage ontop of that price.

The price in the UK is pretty standard, it's just the incredibly weak dollar which makes it expensive for you guys.

Still, Sweeney Todd should look and sound absolutely stunning in HD and personally I'd pay $50 or more if need be for it.

As I understand it 17.99 from Amazon.co.uk IS the discounted VAT-less price

this is a portion of email from them regarding this:

"Amazon's Preferred Merchant, Indigostarfish.com, is a Jersey-based merchant offering to supply goods to UK customers exclusive of VAT, via the Amazon.co.uk website. Indigostarfish.com orders can only be delivered to UK addresses (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and all BFPO addresses).

If you order an item that is messaged as "Items for dispatch to UK will be sold by Amazon's Preferred Merchant." for delivery to an address within the UK you are placing your order with Indigostarfish.com and your item will be shipped from Jersey.

If you order an item that is messaged as "Items for dispatch to UK will be sold by Amazon's Preferred Merchant." for dispatch to anywhere other than the UK, you are placing your order with Amazon.co.uk.

Please note that the price listed on the Product Detail page for items that are messaged as "Items for dispatch to UK will be sold by Amazon's Preferred
Merchant.", are listed without VAT. If such an item is ordered for dispatch to
an EU country other than the UK, the applicable VAT rate for the destination
country will be added on top of the "Our Price" displayed. You will be able to
see your final price inclusive of applicable VAT before you confirm your order.
This will be displayed once you have completed your order information, including our delivery address."

so I guess with international orders the pricing will be recalculated for any other country than the UK or in the worst possible case, the order cannot be completed - it really doesn't make all that much sense - excuse my language but what a cluster#$%^
