I am certainly waiting anxiously for the news regarding "butch cassidy" myself. I hope to god it is not. I have been waiting for this title forever it seems like.
apparently there is a thread at avs regarding "Butch cassidy" I'm going to look for it now.
EDIT: well apparently there are 2 bd versions of this title and i still haven;t figured out if they are the same, but I would assume they are. There is a Japan version and also a UK version. The thread at avs was REALLY depressing. They said the version they had gotten was mpeg-2 and looked to be from the same dvd master from 2000. They said it has the same "hair" showing at the ? minute mark. how sad is that? they say it is extremely soft and looks barely better than the dvd upconverted.
So it doesn't sound too encouraging. the good news is with 2 versions I assume 1 will play in the US.Last edited by Arkadin; 01-22-2008 at 03:51 PM.

what sucks is that in the entire thread at avs they make NO mention at all of region coding. maybe that is a good sign. wish I knew more.
