Death Note Movie In BD?

What are the chances of Warner Bros. releasing both of the Death Note movies in BD, in Japan? I'd certainly import them since they'd work on a US BD player.

I mean, Death Note is/was HUGE in Japan, and they only released them on DVD. BD is doing good in Japan, so why not release it? Anyone know if/when they will?

I wouldn't be suprised if they did it partway thru 2008.

The spinoff/prequel starring L comes out then, either when that comes out in theaters, or when it comes to Blu-ray I'd say is the best chance.

I got all excited hoping it was a new good Japanese horror movie only to find it it's just an anime series

It's easily one of the greatest anime series' of all time though. Plus the Death Note movies are live action.

I defiantly suggest you watch the movie or look into the anime, it's amazing. I really want it on BD!

I might take a look at it. I've been getting more into Japanese films and losing interest in the anime.

Death Note is the best anime show ever!!!! It is the only anime show I like!!!! I would definitely import the movies, only thing is that they aren't anime so they might suck. Please nobody say any spoilers and is the anime complete in Japan or is it still going?

You definitely should, it's not as good as the anime but it is good. I just wanted to bump this to see what other people thought since it was on page 2.

The films were quite enjoyable, I'd gladly fork out for them with decent subtitles.
