Default Hostel (UK Import) - High-Def Digest review

If you can't wait for the domestic release of 'Hostel' in October, this British Blu-ray import will do in a pinch. According to Peter, both the video and audio are quite strong, although with zero extras included (and a slew planned for the upcoming US edition), this one may be a tough sell.

Damn, I thought this was an HD DVD.
I've never seen a foreign Blu-ray review..
Awesome cover for a decent movie too.

Funny...I thought Hostel: Part II was bloody BRILLIANT!!!
Totally had that bad old-school feel, and liked having some more mature characters, rather than stupid, annoying horny male teens.
And I liked that it expanded upon the themes of the alright first.

Again, have to disagree with reviewer regarding picture quality. This version of the film looks quite enhanced, with edge enhancement and excessive grain visible. Detail is ok, but could be better. A generally poor quality image compared to what we expect to see from HD material, particularly of relatively recent films. PQ 2/5
