After the German release of Re-Animator seems to have disappeared it is good news to see that Second Sight Films have submitted it to the BBFC and have been given the green light to release it uncut.

Even better news is that someone on another forum popped the question to Second Sight and got this reply back:

Thanks for getting in touch. We are indeed planning a Blu-ray release of Re-Animator, together with Bride of Re-Animator, From Beyond and Society. Plans for packaging aren't finalised yet but keep an eye on our website over the coming weeks for details as they happen.

Next up which will actually be a 3 disc Blu-ray release of the classic Basket Case trilogy which will also be in a limited edition Steelbook.

Bride of Re-Animator
From Beyond
Society
The Basket Case Trilogy (also in a Steelbook).

Very cool! I've been wanting Bride of Re-Animator for so long. My crappy VHS copy is looking crappier and crappier. Very excited for this.

I am really looking forward to both Re-Animators and From Beyond. Pity they could not have announced Dagon too so as to make it a Lovecraft quartet...

Yes, Re-Animator and From Beyond and probably Bride of Re-Animator for me too. Enjoyed these movies in my VHS collecting days and I've always been a fan of H.P. Lovecraft as well.
