Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (UK) -- Out Now
I found this review of the Optimum release of Nausicaä, seems like it may be the same transfer as the Japanese disc, except both English and Japanese language tracks are now lossless.
My disc shipped from Amazon UK today so I'll confirm region coding and PQ/AQ when I've watched it. -

Definitely looks better than I've seen the film look before (I have owned Nausicaä on Japanese and American DVD) and the UK Blu-ray looks at least as good as the screens for the Japanese I have seen. However, the Blu-ray shows up the deficiencies of the source material, so while Nausicaä looks great for Nausicaä, don't expect Ponyo levels of eye-popping 2D animation.
The English and Japanese LPCM stereo tracks sound good (my player lists them both as 1.5 Mbps) and the special features appear to have been ported over. Definitely worth the upgrade for any fan of the film, although it is Region B locked. -
