I received A Dirty Carnival from k2dvd.com today. This is the latest in the series of numbered CJ Entertainment digipak releases.

PQ looks pretty good on my PC, I'll watch it on my main setup tonight. There's a small band around the horizontal edges of the image.

The extras of A Dirty Carnival seem to include some deleted / extended scenes (I think) and some interviews + commentary tracks. Couldn't find any English options for the extras as usual. Extras don't seem to have Korean subs either, just Korean audio. Menu is only in Korean as usual.

I haven't seen the movie before so it'll be exciting. There seem to be quite a lot of violent fights with pipes and bats etc. in the movie, couldn't really get good caps from most of those as there's so much movement.

I watched this last night and enjoyed the movie a lot. PQ was solid, fine colors & contrast and light grain. The image did look slightly digitally sharpened though, but the overall look was quite pleasant. Audio was solid too. The slight bands around the horizontal edge were not really noticeable in normal viewing except when I especially looked for them. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. It would be nice if CJ Entertainment started making the extras English friendly though.

The bands are from sharpening in this case. Load any other Blu-ray file in MPC-HC, right click -> Shaders -> sharpen complex 2, and extremely similar looking bands will appear along the edges.
