Default New firmware update for Sony BDP-s550

I got this update today. Version 20 adds freeze frame and slow motion plus other enhancements for BD-Live.

The Sony support page shows that there is an update for your player as well dated Oct 22,2009 version 20http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu...=16#div_pos_30

Slo-Mo at last!!! I knew it was only a matter of time this would happen since Playstation 3 received the update that enabled it to do the same things. This is great news. Let's just hope these updates don't provide similar issues! I have a 550 as well as bx1 (350) and would hate for them both to become unplayable as a result!

Default Sony Firmware

Since I was going to be out of town for a week, I went onto the Sony website and ordered the disc for firmware 20. By the time I returned home from my travels, the disc was there waiting for me, and I applied it to my S550 with no problems and the player seems perfectly happy - and with some new capabiities as a result.
Very nice!
