Default Panasonic BD35 - Now Off Sale at Amazon

Has anybody else noticed this? The Panasonic BD-35 has jumped $200 on Amazon. It's now $449. Odd thing is that the BD-55 is still $350.

I heard it's at Costco for $270 - and comes with an HDMI cable - by the way

That's a 3rd party seller, Pavilion Electronics; Amazon is out of stock. Other 3rd part sellers have it for as low as $347.95, but I'd still have to say I'm pleased with getting mine from Amazon for $236.95 back in mid November. And I was worried then I was buying too soon and it might dip under $200.

Interesting - in look at other Amazon 3rd party listings I see a "just launched" seller, offering the BD 35 as "MULTI REGION CODE FREE BLU RAY PLAYER, Blu Ray Zone A+B+C DVD Region 0 1 2 3 4 5 6, DVD PAL, DVD NTSC". He only wants $849.99 for it.

I think I'll just keep an eye out for the multi region hack details.

I bought mine from Amazon in November and its a third party seller then as well (got it for the same price as you).

And yeah, a multi region hack would be nice...so we'll both keep our eyes peeled

I Goggled it - looks like a hardware modification only. You can buy the chipset for $70 and install it yourself - IF you're very good at soldering small electronic components; I'm not. Or buy a modded player starting around $500. I don't need multi-region blu-ray that badly.

I bought it from Best Buy two weeks ago for $299. Last week they price-matched themselves with them on sale for $250. Great machine. I'm happy as it has played everything so far, unlike the LG.

I think retail for the player is $299 so its crazy for anyone to ask for more than that.
I got mine for $222 through amazon from 6th ave electronics. I kept watching the price and waited for it to get below $225 before purchasing.
