    Default Region Free Blu-ray Hardware

I'm looking to get a region free blu-ray player and wanted to know what everyone has: what hardware is recommended and what sites are recommended to buy region free blu-ray hardware?

I was looking into getting the Panasonic DMP BD55K modified from:

    http://www.mrmdvd.com/catalog/produc...roducts_id=982

Anyone familiar with this site? Does it look like a safe future proof (as best as it can be) standalone player?

    Thanks!

I noticed there was a setting in the PowerDVD menu that allowed you to switch region like up to 5 times, or something, but I haven't personally tried as I don't have a BD-ROM drive yet. I think it's pretty easy to get region free playback on PC's.
    Panasonic TC-P50G25
    Algolith Flea
    DVDO Edge
    Toshiba A35 & Onkyo 805
    Denon 1610 & Pioneer 51fd
    Denon 1909 & Pioneer 1120 AVR's
    Elemental Designs 7.1
    HTPC

honestly if someone has the cash I would get the bd-55 over the LG.
look the LG is very cool, but here are my reasons for saying that.
    1) the HD DVD aspect is a non-issue for most people.
    that's just a fact.
    2) LG lied and won't be giving this player 2.0 as we all know now.
    3) there are numerous HD DVD titles that won't play in 24p, and all kinds of other little glitches that are plaguing this player.

even with all that I have still considered getting the LG player JUST for the all region playback.
but I just can't pull the trigger at the prices I keep seeing.
I cannot find a closeout one for a price I am willing to pay.
If someone is only interested in Blu and has the cash, they would be crazy imo not to get the modded bd-55 over the lg.
that's my current take on this.
