BDP-S350 because it bitstreams all audio codecs and is Profile 2.0. The BDP-S500 is Profile 1.0 and is a very nice player, but I would sure buy the BDP-S350 today. Of course your specific audio receiver and circumstances could change that recommendation.

In that case, go with the S350 like Chris said. I own it, and it's a good player. It's currently 261.65 on Amazon.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint. It's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... timey wimey... stuff.

He was asking in reference to your reciever because its pointless to get a BD player that can bitstream the new codecs if your reciever isn't capable of decoding them. The 605 will decode these so I would too go with the BDP-350, you will actually get to see the lights on the 605 light up "Dolby True-HD" if you use your 350 to bitstream it to the reciever.
