Default Swallowed my pride...

Well, I used to be a die hard HD DVD supporter. I was and still am very much a staunch 360 supporter. After WB put the nail in that coffin, I kinda just stopped dropping in around here. I was angry and, yes, bitter about the whole affair.

Well, I gave up my fanboy ways, picking up the 40GB PS3, MGS4, and CoD4 for $300 off of Craig's List. Any recommendations for the movies to get for the BluRay experience?

Good job! I was in the same boat as you, but I decided to move on. It's nice to have both, too.

I suggest Ratatouille, 3:10 to Yuma, Semi-Pro (although not everyone enjoys Will Ferrel's humor), The Fifth Element, or Hellboy. Hellboy was my first actual BD movie, and it looks spectacular.

Independence Day, I Robot, POTC, Casino Royale, Rescue Dawn, 3:10 To Yuma, Ratatuille, Cars, Spiderman 3, Live Free Or Die Hard, Rambo, Sunshine, and ( of course) the summer movies of this year being released for the fall/winter like The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Indiana Jones KOTCS, Wall-E, Prince Caspian, Incredible Hulk. These would be a good start.

fortunately I never experienced that downside to the war even though I was also pro HD DVD.
hopefully more people will see the light like you have.
more great fare includes: "The Counterfeiters", "'The Lives of Others", "A Passage To India", "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest", "The Orphanage", "Bonnie and Clyde", "Gattaca", "Natural Born Killers", and "Dark City."
