Does anybody know if a Japanese (Region 2) BDP-S350 will play UK (Region 2) standard DVDs?
If so, it would make quite a nice import!

I think part of the problem in thinking that getting a JP BD player is that BD Playback has regions too and they're not the same. Japan is BD A and Europe is BD B. Plus there's that whole PAL vs NTSC thing. But who knows Stranger things have happened.

It's more the DVD regions that I am concerned about. Don't mind having a Blu-ray Region A player.

Quote:
Point is probably sony has locked the player in a way that it will refuse to display a PAL signal so you'll be limited to -NTSC- R2\R0 DVDs... |

Anything conclusive yet on this one?
