Smile Bitstream audio on panny BD-30!

Hi all, Has anyone come a cross lip sync problems when outputing hi-def audio as bitstream on the bd-30, I have the samsung bdp-1400 and it lags some times, but its fine you output it as pcm.

This is the only thing stopping me buying a bd-30.(the not internal decoding bit)

Look forward to your feedback, thanks in advance.

Sean.

I've heard of some issues with lipsynching, but I haven't seen any in my setup. Bitstreaming works great and with the new 2.2FW upgrade I haven't really had any problems with the BD-30. I'd say it's the second best behind the the BD-50 and a much better value, too.

With all the folks who have the BD30 there have been what is a VERY small number of reports of lip synch. And I mean maybe 2 or 3. And as I recall there were other variables possible for those experiences. Not saying the BD30 was not responsible. Just that it wasn't nailed down as 100% the problem.

I have not once ever had a lip synch issue with the BD30. And I've watched/listened to a lot of movies in testing various firmwares.

I encourage you to buy it with confidence.

I am probably one of those 2 or 3. I opened up a case last year with Panasonic on the issue. I've had lip sync on 4 or 5 discs, but that's been it. I haven't encountered it in long time, nor have I re-tested those discs since recent firmware updates.

I'm using a Sony SXRD 60A3000 and Pioneer Elite VSX-91TXH receiver.

I'm pretty sure you've done this already but have you checked to make sure that lipsync is on in the Pioneer's settings? HDMI 1.3 can be a PITA sometimes.
