Default Question about the BDP-S300 fan?

Hey everyone,

I just got a refurbished Sony BDP-S300 online and it didn't work. I was getting a drive error message and after realizing my only tech support option was to send it in for repairs, I decided to take a look "under the hood". Turns out the drive connection was loose so I plugged it in and its now playing fine. The only thing is the fan in the back of the unit isn't spinning. Is this normal? Maybe it only runs when the unit is overheated? Can anyone with one of these players let me know what happens with the fan when they turn theirs on? I guess I'll keep an eye on the unit over the weekend to see if it's actually faulty or not before sending it in for repairs. Don't exactly want to tell tech support I opened the thing up though, you know?
