I've got the Westinghouse TX-42F430S 42" 1080p LCD. I know you may have heard bad things about it, but I've got to tell you: Never buy the Westinghouse TX-42F430S 42" 1080p LCD.

Another great feature added:

* Resume Play - begin playing a DVD or BD disc from the point where you previously stopped it, even if you eject the disc and insert a different movie or game.

Huzzah!

It would be nice if they'd make it work properly with WMP11 media sharing, you know, as their big competitor the X360 has done for years now.

The Resume Play function is a nice & welcomed update. As for the DTS-HDMA, my receiver doesn't even support it so it's a no biggie for me.

This has always been a nice feature on other Sony DVD players that I've owned, so I'm glad the PS3 is stepping up on this one as well.

Your receiver doesn't have to support it... when the PS3 finally adds DTS-HD MA decoding, it will output it as multi-channel PCM over HDMI which your receiver does support.

That is what the PS3 does right now with TrueHD.

If the PS3 decodes DTS HD-MA then your receiver will be fine using PCM. It's bitstreaming DTS HD - MA that your receiver won't support. The PS3 will most likely never Bitstream form what others have said but it might be able to decode DTS HD-MA internally and send it to your reciever via PCM.

If you mean your receiver cannot decode DTS-HDMA, then having the PS3 decode it internally and sending it to your receiver as PCM is probably what you would want. Right now, on those BD's with DTS-HDMA, you are only getting the regular DTS lossy core. Whether you hear a difference between DTS-HDMA and DTS is most likely dependent on your home theater setup and room.

Ah ok, I think I understand. Since it will output is a multi-channel PCM, does that mean that it's "dumbed down" or is it just another way of delivering DTS-HDMA. (forgive me for my lack of knowledge about audio)

No, its not dumbed down. The audio digital signal is only ones and zeros, regardless if it is decoded in the PS3 or in a receiver that supports DTS-HD MA decoding.
