Default List of all Profile 1.1 & 2.0 Players

During this time of transition, I think it would be useful to maintain a list of all Profile 1.1 and Profile 2.0 Blu-ray players.

Edit: Someone else is doing a much better job of this, so let's just link to his list:

Thanks for the useful list!

You could maybe update it with some more specs like prices and so on (when available)

Wouldn't mind having a section for combo players on that list either. If people are switching from HD DVD, they may want a player that will let them keep their existing discs Plus, for those new to blu-ray, perhaps explain what the profiles are?

Guys, I'm not going to be able to keep on top of this list with all of the features and functions everyone is asking for. I really just needed to compile a quick reference to which players met which Profiles.

Saw IV will be the first official Profile 2.0 disc, though War also includes a network-connected game.

You slacker. I was just going to ask you if you could also certify which ones used Green manufacturing and had low carbon footprint.

LOL, and Josh, are there any other 2.0 movies announced besides Saw IV?

Josh as far as the upcoming players the BDP-95FD is a current player and not 1.1. The new Pioneer will be the BDP-05FD and it will be 1.1.

As to a list there is one that is still a work in progress from Badass at Blu-ray.com.
You can PM me for is since I can still not post links or URLS.

Does anyone know if Profile 2.0 will be the last update? It seems like they are just going to get it updated to, what is now, HD DVD standards and then stopping. Will there be more updated players coming out after 2.0?

Disney has indicated that National Treasure and Sleeping Beauty will both have BD-Live features, but haven't announced release dates yet.

Do you guys think the Bd-30 will be "obsolete" when the 2.0 players come out? I really want a BD player now!!!

Based on what I'm reading 2.0 is only online/interactive features which do me mean nothing as running an ethernet cable to the back room or to a router is more of a hassel than it's worth. 1.1 will allow PiP and all non-online features to run which to me is all that is really needed.

Someone on AVSForum pointed me to this link at Blu-ray.com, which has a much more comprehensive list of all players currently available.
