I think we should all start a new game at HDD... GUESS THE REAL OEM.
I will start it off by posting a pic of the NAD's rear panel...

No its not an Oppo. I am fairly certain that some of NAD's earlier DVD players were based on Panasonic platforms. Not sure about their Bluray offerings.

Looks like the back of an LG BD390:

or perhaps one of the newer ones. Not sure what those look like.
The lack of S-video should be a fairly large clue. -

Hey, looks like you are on to something there.
Placement of the output jacks is exact including the power cord input. Only difference is that the NAD has a direct IR input 3.5mm plug for neater custom installs. (Perhaps there is a newer LG unit that has an IR input?)
OK class... Tonights homework assignment...
If one was to compare the exact features of the two side by side along with their chipsets, would there be anything left to doubt?Titles:....

The front is quite a bit different from the LG, though. The operation buttons are in the same place, but the open/close and power are not.
Comparing the features might not be sufficient (although many are the same: WiFi, DLNA, etc.). NAD doesn't necessarily have to have just rebadged the player (like Lexicon with Oppo); they might have just used LG's base design, improved some things like the analog outs, etc.
They'll likely have written their own firmware anyway, meaning that certain features can go away: YouTube, CinemaNow, etc. They'd have to certify compatibility with each one of those companies, and they likely don't care that much, since their customers won't miss any of those things. -

the dvd players were LG, the previous BD was LG too. I guess they made just a custom difference here and there but the bowels are the same.

Anyhow, it does say NAD on the front, and we all know (well many of us) how cheap NAD is with their disc spinners...
