Sounds like a Columbia House-like purchase agreement. IMHO, A complete scam... they just lure people in who don't read the fine print.

Do you work for Disney or something? This deal is horrible. You will end up paying over $20 a blu ray just to fulfill.

An admin should remove the link.
Horrible horrible "deal"!!
Unless you give them one of those prepaid credit card numbers and have it shipped to a PO Box under a fake name....

I read some of the fine print. And the part about canceling or not fulfilling your 24 month obligation will result in being fuly charged for your 2 lesser items . . . Yeesh!

I looked at some of the items I was interested in and Amazon had a lower price for 8 of the items as an over all total. Definitely not a good deal.

30 bucks times 5,plus 4 bucks times 5 = $160 plus 2 bucks for those movies plus shipping = $170+ for 8 blu rays? Hell no! I can get more disney blu rays for 170 at a store. In the end it's a scam you end paying more for what you bargain.

While the DMC might NOT be worth while for Blu Rays on their own just yet, the DVD and TV on DVD aspects of the club can be pretty good. Especially with coupons/sales/offers, and the dvd exclusives (ducktales movie for example) and rare stuff like the themed Disney Tins.

DVDtalk.com has a pretty good dedicated thread for getting the most out of the program.

The Columbia House and Disney movie clubs can have some money-saving deals, as benson automate mentioned. I used to belong to the Columbia House club and was able to get a lot of DVDs I wanted for cheap.

However, this particular Disney BD deal has you really losing a lot of money. I don't see where the savings are at all. Usually the deal is better where you can buy a couple more Blu Rays now at cheaper prices, and reduce the required purchases by 2 Blu Rays. This deal only has that for one Blu Ray, and you still need to buy 4 BDs at $29.99 and up. I'd rather have Mickey Mouse come over and punch me in the eye.
