This is why I'm leery of their rebate program.
Same thing happened with Zodiac. Cut up my stuff, sent it to them, and never got anything back.

I sent in a two rebates for Paramount titles earlier this year. After about 10 weeks, I got an E-mail that my submission had been denied. The E-mail contained a phone number and I called it. The service rep told me that a bunch of them were incorrectly denied because there was an error in the system for applicable UPC codes for the DVD versions. She assured me the error had already been corrected and my rebates were moving forward. I received my checks about 2 weeks later.

I have NEVER been screwed on a mail-in rebate. NEVER! And I've done dozens and dozens of them. I keep copies of everything, I put the estimated "due date" for processing in my iCal to remind me when I should start looking for the check (and remind me when it's time to start making phone calls), and I refuse to let them get away with anything if I'm denied. I ALWAYS get my money.

I don't know if the rebate companies are intentionally "shady" about following through on rebates but they better not fuck with me. I'll be on them like stink on shit! I'm a bulldog about this stuff.

I've received $60 in rebates for various BR movies. Every one I've sent in, I've received. I always keep a copy of everything I send, just in case.

Does anyone know if this will work with the original 2 disc DVD set of Gladiator and a Blu Ray "receipt" from Columbia House? I have no problem cutting the tabs and whatnot - but the line on the form that says you need to be in the same state as the store you purchased at scares me that Amazon and Columbia House will not be included in the rebate.

You could always: buy both an a local B&M store, make copies of the receipt, and then return them.

Not that I'm endorsing that or anything, but the "same state" rule is ridiculous, IMO.

I received an email today informing me that my submission had been approved and I would be getting my rebate shortly. I mailed the forms the day after Braveheart & Gladiator were released btw.

Sadly I used to be one of those guys who threw away all of his covers and stacked them in a binder. I bought both of these flickz many moons ago. Anyone have any idea the paper stock that a cover like this is typically made on? I can download an image scan and hopefully see if that works. I wish I could just send them a picture of my discs...

No copies of the form??? I got no such form in mine (Gladiator), but I still have the receipt within the appropriate date range. Did anyone else not get the form in theirs?

I sent a rebate for Zodiac (also Paramount) at the beginning of May, and I just got an email confirmation from them two days ago -- when I check the status, it says I'm qualified, but it's still pending. Six months later!

I received my rejection notices saying that I didn't include receipts and also that the dates on my missing receipts were not valid for the promotion. WTF? I sent mine in the same week the movies came out. I kept a copy of what I sent them in in the envelopes. I contacted them and they said it would be 3-4 WEEKS for them to review.

Hi all,

I was wondering, if I bought this on Amazon, would I circle the subtotal price, or the one that includes shipping? I know that rebates are tricky, so I want to make sure I do it right! Or would it be wrong to circle both?
