It just me or does any else sees that the Blu-ray captures dvdbeaver looks like it is crop from the top and bottom? On some other scenes it looks to be crop on both the top/bottom and left/right?

I own 150 + Blu's and this will be the happiest purchase I haver ever made on Blu's. Gladiator is my favorite movie all time.
Are you saying they're in stock right now?

If you go on Sunday to BB, you'll come home empty-handed. New releases (not new movies) always come out on Tuesday--unless the ad states otherwise.

I've read that some places are breaking street date for these 2 releases. So who knows, you might not leave empty handed.

I know. The new sale is effective as of Sunday though. It might be advertised Sunday, but I'm just guessing.

Gladiator was shot super35 so yeah there will be a little more image on the top and bottom on the HBO broadcast, but Ridley Scott shot the movie in 2.35:1 where the framing will look correct.

Not a bad even though Gladiator is DNR'd. After taxes, it comes out to $19.71 each for me.

If Amazon matches Best Buy (buy both for $36) next week, I will go ahead and order from Amazon. $18 each is far enough below $20 to make it worth it for week of release. Otherwise, I'll skip the Best Buy deal and wait as long as it takes to get them for less than $17 or so.

I'm betting Fry's will have a deal for one or both in one of their ads this week (Friday-Sunday, but not available until Tuesday).

Both Gladiator and Braveheart have a "save $10" mail-in rebate for current DVD owners on the package.

As far as I know, you are the first to report this. Have you seen this with your own eyes or passing along something you read somewhere else?

Since some folks have already taken early delivery of the two titles, what say you? Is there a $10 mail-in rebate offer on each of these titles? And, if so, what do we have to send in from the DVD package? Just the cut out UPC code? (I don't see any Proof Of Purchase type of label on my DVD copies.)

Thanks!

Mark
