This movie is terrible and I love scifi movies. Stanley Kubrick and Quentin Tarantino are the 2 most over-rated producer/screenwriter/director's in movie history. Ahh, I feel better now.

it's pretty crazy how a movie can be someone's all time favorite and how it could also be someone's alltime worst

Nah, just an ending that doesn't suck. I didn't mind that there wasn't a lot of action.

If I'd been born in the 40s instead of the 50s, I'd probably love 2001: A Space Odyssey as much as my older sister does. But even she admits she was high on weed the first time she saw it in the theater.

2001 is about as entertaining to watch as two ballet dancers staring at each other and not moving for two hours. Pass.
