Its still 128 at my Walmart.

If this thing was $50 or $80 as reported elsewhere, I'd pick one up in a heartbeat.

No offense, but the typical Walmart shopper looking for a bargain blu-ray player isn't likely to have a system capable of decoding bitstream audio. Heck, even my mid-end audio components are a few years old and don't do that. I think that's one reason why this particular model is still sitting there not selling.

Your "typical" Walmart shopper has an RCA HTIB......they dont give a rats ass about bit streaming or lossless audio. The have two speakers actually working on their RCA receiver and are happy with that.

This isnt a knock on Walmart shoppers but the truth who really gives a damn about lossless audio.

True, and that HTIB usually already has a built in DVD player.

All the $168 price means is that the price went back up automatically and nobody else at his store has bothered to buy one or get a price check. I guarantee anybody who thinks they are buying $128 player will get the manager there for a price correction.
I checked mine today...price is still $128.

Player is still $128 at my local walmart, even price checked it. Also, their blu-ray movie section has been cut to 1/3 of the size it was a month ago...
