Star Trek Original Series Season 1 $59.83 at Walmart in Canada

I just cancelled my Future Shop order after picking up my copy at the local Walmart. The stickers on them say $83 or something like that but they scan up at $59.83.

It's pretty hard to beat this price considering it is lower than amazon.com but in Canadian dollars and miles lower than anywhere else in Canada. For example it's currently $110 Canadian at amazon.ca.

That's a good deal; it is $69.99 at Costco and I thought THAT was a pretty good price... almost makes me want to double-dip!

But what's the deal with Walmart and all these unadvertised, seamingly unorganised "specials" lately?

I was in yesterday and I did notice the $89 sticker (never considered scanning it), but what I *did* find was "Next" and "Event Horizon" for $16 and change just lumped in with the rest of the disorganized stock. These were the only ones I saw at that price -- are there more? Some places still have Horton on for $14.83, too, while most places don't even have any of the other $14 batch left...

What gives?

Yep it's chaos. I might as well just grab all the Blu-rays and carry them over to a self scanner every week to see what price they really are.

They sell so many products that they just don't care I guess.

I told the lady that they would sell a ton more of ST if they actually put the right price on it.

I was debating buying this but I don't know how anyone can turn down this 7 BD-50 set for only $59. The amazon.ca price is what scared me away originally.

I wonder how many of these other "deals" Walmart has waiting for us if we try scanning all their Blu-rays.

Actually at the Wal-Mart I went to, it was locked up in the case. The guy was puzzled when I asked him just to scan it, and then he gave a "holy crap!"

I wasn't going to buy it originally either, but that price is too sweet.
