Default Red 2 Blu trade in program

WBShop is running a new program where you can trade in your HD-DVD's for new Blu-ray copies on the cheap. They charge an average of $4.95 per title and a flat 6.95 s&h charge. They even have some of the collections available. I'm getting the Harry Potter Box Set, Planet Earth, Superman 1 & 2 and Swordfish all replaced for 46.90 shipped. The only thing you have to send into them is the art sleeve from the movies. What a deal!!!

Thanks for the link OP. I think it is a great deal, especially if you don't want to re-buy some of the titles for full price. And plus you still can keep the hd version. What a steal.

yeah this is definitely a good deal. I am just pissed that I threw away the back upc thing that was glued on to my ultimate matrix collection. I was pretty psyched about upgrading that.

just saw this on blu-ray.com
ordered 16 titles including the matrix collection / planet earth / and the oceans trilogy. So glad i held off upgrading them. Now univeral needs to step up tlo the plate. I mean they owe it to us more than warner does. warner at least gave us an option for most titles (buy hd or blu). Universal was only hd-dvd so they really need to take a cue from warner and offer a trade up program.

Wow, I think I may "upgrade" my Ocean's set...you only need to send in the outer cardboard slip? I display the hd-dvds in their cases only, so this is an easy choice for me.

But, I rather not give up my cover art on the other titles.

Right... But it's an offer for HD DVD owners, hence my question.

Awesome bargain, OP. In fact, it's probably cheaper to buy Casablanca on HD DVD and trade it in this way, than shell out the purchase price the bloated BR edition.

I am a little depressed that I sold almost all of my HD DVD's already, I only have 5 left and only 1 thats on that list. 2 if warner ever gets around to releasing Gran Prix on .
A guy I work with is going to trade in his Happy Potter movies (3 of which I sold him!) and we are going to split the shipping.

USA and Puerto Rico only? Puerto Rico?! Why not Canada?

I've got five movies in their list that I wouldn't mind switching over to Blu.

It is a deal because many of us bought HD movies which were only available on HD and now didn't want to spend $15 per movie to switch to blu. So, we all know you like to hear yourself talk, see yourself type, see you name on a post, or whatever drives you to post these ridiculous and patronizing posts, but quit being a nub and if you don't like a deal, shove off and leave the rest of us in peace.

Back on Topic, Thanks OP, the rest of us appreciate it.
