I do however frequent both the Blu-ray Trade and Bargain sections of the forum.

I have HD DVD copies of The Utimate Matrix, Planet Earth, Oceans 13 Trilogy, Casablanca plus obviously many more Warner HD DVD's.

Being able to purchase these on Blu-ray now for cheap = Blu-Ray BARGAIN.

Why is that so hard to comprehend?
Well Put

Holy shit.
I would like to know where the third post was because when I posted this, I didn't see another post except in the HD-DVD bargains (and I found it because I was going there next to post it). If you're counting the main page story, that wasn't up when I posted mine regardless of whatever timestamps may say.

You know I've been a part of this forum for over a year and there's way too many people that want to be an a*$ about double posts. I'm sorry, but this forum is supposed to be about good deals, and I like most people don't dig beyond the first page of forum posts. So whether it was posted 2 weeks ago or an hour ago, if it's not on the first page of forum posts it's not reaching people. Get over yourself and your knowledge of what's been posted before and simply be happy that someone is trying to let you know that there's a deal to be had.

i read the guys idea who had the idea of buying cheap HD discs to get the blus for cheap (which to fuel the fire of the whiny guy above definately makes this a blu-ray deal...what are you even doing on the bluray section?)...anyways it sounds like a good idea to stock up on cheap HDs and trade them in

but anyone know for sure how long this is going on for, i dont want be stuck with a bunch of useless HDs (as i dont have a player) if i miss the deadline

and more importantly, the huge number of posts in such a short time definately means this is something people in this section want to see

1. Both the CT and UC are eligible for the trade. For CT folks, this is a free upgrade to the UC.

2. If like most people here, you lost that little paper that was stuck on the side you're not out of luck. Simply send the cover art for ALL THREE movies, as they have UPC codes, which provides sufficient proof of purchase.

Warner is awesome.
I hope that is correct (about complete trilogy owners getting the Ultimate Collection) as I just put in for same. I still have the paper from the back of the box so that isn't a problem. What could be a problem is that the offer online specifies the UPC from the UC, not the CT.

I believe the rules stated that unless posted otherwise, it will end Dec 31, 2009. So plenty of time unless they run out. By the looks of some of the posts, Warner might be adding more titles as they get released on Blu-ray.

I wonder what the chances are of them getting Gran Prix out on by then

I have Planet Earth, but I bought the UK HD DVD (good sale price), so, it probably has a different UPC code than the domestic. Do you think they would accept it or would it screw up my other trade-ins?

They have a help hotline on the site if you have any questions.

For comparision, this is the UPC from the BBC version sold in North America 794504293923

and the ISBN number is 1-4198-4937-9

Now that I think about it, didnt the UK version contain The 4 Planet Earth discs plus 1 bonus disc?

The North American BBC version just has the 4 Planet Earth discs (No bonus title)

Maybe someone has asked this question already of Warner C.S, but with respect to The Matrix.... ((I am talking about the 10th Anniversay Digibook trade and NOT the one for the WHOLE Ultimate Box set))

Can anyone confirm what the acceptable UPC number for just the FIRST MATRIX movie is???

The reason I am asking is that I am now certain that the UPC on the sleeve of the just the first Matrix movie contained in the Ultimate Box set is in fact different from the other Matrix HD DVD release (because the one in the Ultimate set is a 2-sided "Combo" type disc.

The UPC from the 2-Sided First Matrix movie (contained in the Ultimate Set) is 085391168287

The UPC from the normal First Matrix movice (I believe packed in the Trilogy Box Set and as single copy only) is 085391159759

Does anyone know if Warner will accept either one of these sleeves if one wants to trade for the single copy 10th Anniversay Digibook on Blu ???
Thanks!

I think this offer rocks! I've slowly been upgrading my HD DVDs to Blu-ray when I can score a great deal, but I still have several Warner HD DVDs that I'll gladly exchange for $5/each!
