Thanks for the alert!

I seems like a great deal but the one review on the Wal-Mart site mentions that only the theatrical versions are included. Can anyone confirm that?

Yeah I noticed that too. If you sign up for site to store express for $30 I think you get the option....but I dont think it is worth it.

wow.. I thought for a second that it was just the first 3. I hope that Amazon matches that. Maybe BB, Target, etc will get in on the action.

If you e-mail Amazon and point out the price they will eventually match (i.e. Silent of the Lambs for $14.xx a few weeks back).

I was under the impression that only 1 or 2 of the original movies even had a directors edition. And from what i remember the first movie directors edition is long and dull.

I really hope this pushes amazon to lower the price, though the 1st season of TOS has dropped down a bit lately, so maybe there's hope.

Yeah, and it's a bunch of crap. Gotta love how Paramount discontinued the previous 10-movie/20-disc set in order to force people to buy the new trimmed-down release.

It was an amazing set with every extra anybody could possibly want. And nearly all of the extras were put together in the year or two leading up to the release of the set, so they're all still very fresh and should have been included on the new DVD and Blu releases.

The upside is that I picked up the set brand new from Amazon for around $65 back in late '07, and because of the demand for it now that it's been discontinued, I was able to unload it for $230 last week.

Site-to-store shipping is only available on items in stock, ie, not preorders... lame, I know.

I heard TWOK was totally remastered..so that's a plus. But I'd prefer the MP Directors cut instead of the theatrical version this set includes. V sucks no matter how good the PQ is.

I"ll wait until it's on sale.
