I picked it up at BB before x-mas but passed the info to two of my co workers and they both ordered it.

If anyone who has both or has seen both the SD and BD could weigh in on the differences (significantly improved PQ or just slightly? etc.) that would be cool.
There is a significant difference. I originally imported the entire series from Japan when it was HD-DVD only. I repurchased it from Amazon last month when it was $37.99. It is definitely worth the $90 or so I imported it for, and it is REALLY worth $34.99. It is a HUGE difference in my eyes, as far as picture quality goes. It is a terrific encode and is, in my opinion, demo material. I don't know who said it wasn't much of a difference between it and the DVD, (although the DVD did look very good) but side by side, there really is no comparison.

Anyone who passed on this at $34.99 is ignorant, (haven't seen it) or stupid. Harsh, I know, but it is universally praised as near perfect, and to be able to get it for so cheap, just makes it a steal.

I remember watching it back in the day at my buddy with HBO's house. I didn't really like it, hoping now that I'm no longer 12 I will be able to appreciate it more now. And for this price I can't say no.

My family always had rabbit ears and until recently so did I. I still don't have HBO but it looks like a good film series. If I don't like it I can sell it back for the same price.

Just ordered it, thanks OP.

I've only seen bits and pieces of a couple of episodes, but I loved the parts I saw and have heard nothing but great things about the whole set.

I picked his up during the aforementioned BB deal and it was by far my best blind buy yet. An amazing series and a steal at 35 shipped!
