Godfather Box Set $19.99 at local Blockbuster
Have not seen this here, but wanted to report, I got the Godfather Trilogy Blu-Ray Box Set for $19.99 at a local Blockbuster in No VA (off of Glebe Rd). There were 4 copies, all had sale stickers of $19.99. I thought it was a mistake, but took it to the register and it rang $19.99 no hassle. I thought this was a great deal. BTW, I stopped by another Blockbuster in the area and there was no sticker there, so it may have been a store promotion, but for whoever is interested, you may want to check your Blockbuster. The set I bought also has the $10 mail in sticker, so it effectively will be $9.99, not a bad deal.

It is obviously a price mistake but great find. I was at my local Blockbuster the day before yesterday and there were no price mistakes I could find.

He, he, I thought it was a pretty good deal. I thought someone made a mistake a stuck the wrong stickers and I would have to fight the clerk for 20 bucks, but it rang on the computer $19.99. If anyone is interested, it may be worth asking them to scan it, even if there is no sticker. I think their computer is centrally controlled and it may ring cheap even if the associates did not put a sticker. And if it does not, just leave it and don't buy it.

this was bought for me on Amazon for christmas for that awesome price of $39. It is definitely a mistake, and it's $69 at BJ's, Sam's, all the discount places so, brother you got yourself one helluva deal. Good, anytime we can stick it to blockbuster I'm sort of happy.
player is 40 gig PS3. It's never blown up.

Went to blockbuster today and saw the godfather set behind the counter. I asked the worker how much it was and he said $99
.
So if you want to pick up some more and sell me one for cost plus shipping I wouldn't argue

Thanks, OP. I snagged the last 2 copies at the Glebe Rd store, stickered at $19.99 and scanned in at $19.99. Another Blockbuster I went to had them stickered at $99.99. I didn't have the other store scan it to check the price though. Maybe someone else can do it and report back. I'm wondering if it was stickered at $99.99 but scanned in at $19.99 would they let you have it for $19.99?

Sorry, the second set is for a buddy of mine.
BTW, I think the rebate is only good if you own the DVD boxset version of The Godfather: The Coppola Restoration. I don't think the earlier boxset qualifies.

I hope it works with the old box set, usually these rebates work with any DVD version since it is an upgrade to an old release (the DVD set of the Restoration came out the same day as the Blu-Ray, so it won't be considered and upgrade, who knows) The old box did not have any proof of purchase tags, but the form says you can use the UPS, so I used that from the sheet that is stuck to the back. If it does not work, no big loss. I am glad at least someone else from this forum was able to take advantage of this. I love this forum, have found a lot of useful info. Thanks.

heh, apparently there were some copies left after all
called this morning and the lady said she had just sold the last copies to a guy a few minutes before I called
I should have called right when they opened instead of waiting 15 minutes
