There's a code to join under a Blu-ray club. You can choose 3 blus or something like that. The code is somewhere in that huge CH thread. Unless customer service has changed, some people have had no problems signing up with it, other people have been told there's no such thing. So, there is an option if you don't want the dvds.

Thanks. Is it BLW? Ugh...it does nothing when entered on the homepage. From what I understand in a quick glance, one has to call cust. serv and hope to get a kind enough rep who will be willing to accept that code in order to activate a Blu-ray membership. And their cust. service is apparently a PITA. Too many hoops.

Hey thanks I would have never seen it either. That other thread is so huge I quit reading. Everytime I looked it was about Canada club.... Now get ready for someone to ask how they join the club every 3rd post.... What happened to that Columbia House FAQ?

If someone needs that info, it'd be best to go to dvdtalk and read their forums on CH. They have all the info one would need to know on CH. I think we need some illustrations on how to enter the codes too btw. Not that I need to know, but it gets asked just as much as how to join.

It is working in certain cases. If you order a preorder and then order one that is already out at a higher price the preorder will work if it is cheaper than the higher priced one already out.

The code I used was 805657, but in any case, are you entering the code in the "looking for the offer in your mailing" area, and not on the checkout page? The checkout promotion codes don't work.

I don't have "looking for the offer..." on my page. I think it may be because I joined through the BLW code. I don't have director's selections either.
