Well, I'm trying Mummy, Mummy Returns, Transporter 2, Lost Boys, Hunt for Red October and the Mist. I wrote them to tell them I did not receive the discount. If they refund the two $18.95 movies, my total with my 5% discount comes to $78.91 or $13.15 per title.

I can live with those prices on catalog titles. Let's see what happens.

I ordered Old School, Dodgeball, and the Ultimate Unrated Comedy Collection, which comes to a total of $79.90 or $15.98 per title. I'm liking this deal. I had already ordered these movies now I get Old School for free. Gotta love it!!

It's the best of both worlds. It's basically pick and choose so you can finally get the movies you want instead of being force fed the same titles over and over on their sales.

Even better, these are the normal prices and not the jacked up prices you see whenever they do their bogo specials.

UPDATE! BOOYAH!!

I knew waiting and waiting to get these titles would eventually pay off.

Thank you for writing to us at Amazon.com.

I have investigated your order and I am sorry to see that Buy 2 get 1 free promotion was not applied.

To correct the error I have waived the item cost for "The Lost Boys [Blu-ray]" and "The Hunt for Red October [Blu-ray]." Thus you will be charged for only 4 items once the order ship out.

Thank you for shopping at Amazon.com. We hope to see you again soon.

Best regards,

Sreejith J.

I did the Bond collection volume 1 and 2 and Firefly and got this email after contacting them about not getting the discount:

Thank you for writing to Amazon.com to bring this to our attention. I'm sorry your order total was calculated incorrectly. I researched your order confirmed that it qualifies for the promotional discount you mentioned. Please accept my sincere apology for any inconvenience that you may have experienced. We'll be glad to issue a refund of these additional charges. However, because you are not charged until your items ships, we can't issue a refund until the entire order has been shipped. I apologize for this inconvenience. Once your entire order has been shipped, please use the link below to request a refund.

Looks like I'll be golden come mid-November.

I don't get this. There is NOW a B2G1 for ANY BD movies, yet there is no sign of it on their BD page?

I have always wanted these movies bought didn't want to spend over $20+ on them. Was going also going to get The Fall $26.95, Beowulf $24.95, and Iron Man $27.95 but it wag going to cost around $18+ after third one off some it wasn't such a great deal for me. Yeah....I'm that cheap!
I tried those exact movies and no discount at final checkout page. Do we have to place that order and then call/email them??

I seriously hope this is true for ANY movie, but no combo of BD movies is showing any discounts at final checkout page.

I sent them another e-mail asking if they could just adjust my order to show $0.00 on one of my movies instead of waiting until after my order was shipped to give me the refund. I chose Promotions and I received a different e-mail:

To correct this error, I've reduced the cost of your order by $14.95.

It appears the only way to get the discount right now is to place the order and then call or email them. To there credit, they are responding very quickly.

Yes they are responding very quickly. I places two orders one of which was Old School, Dodgeball, and the Ultimate Unrated Comedy Collection and the second was Jerry Maguire, Oldboy, and Shrek the Third. Both time I had to call Amazon to have them apply the promotional deal. They did so very quickly and now I got Old School and Shrek the Third for free.

Quick question....when your sending the email, is the promotion email department the one from the drop down box that says Gift Certificates/Cards and Promotional offers?....or is it a completely different email adress instead of Amazon.com Customer service?
