My order still says Price not available (Before shipping, we'll e-mail the price to you for your approval.) on the one they took off. Does that mean they're not going to give me the one movie free? I did send numerous e-mails trying to get them to take one movie off last weekend so maybe this rep didn't know I was already helped hence the “Please note: this e-mail was sent from an address that cannot accept incoming e-mail.”

I don't know if I should cancel or not. This is my order with pre-orders. I have a feeling this e-mail is just a refusal of one of my numerous e-mails I've sent. If they were going to change my order I would have seen the price instead of "Price not available (Before shipping, we'll e-mail the price to you for your approval.)"

Same thing happened here Slugger. I'm not too worried about it but was concerned when I saw a few Amazon Customer Service e-mails in my inbox, at first.

If it says "price not available" yada yada, then it is $0.00. I just got off the phone with a rep who accepted the deal and that is what mine changed to.

I have 4 now with that on it.

I received the same email...when I went to my order to cancel it I noticed that my lowest priced item Band of Brothers had been changed to "Price not available (Before shipping, we'll e-mail the price to you for your approval.)" I noticed the price had been deducted from my total.

I have the feeling they removed the price from my total to appease me for now and when it ships they will add it back...we'll see come November.

they legally can't do that. That's bait and switch to the nth degree. What happened is that two different agents handled this. Especially if you sent more than 1 email. 1 denied you, 1 went in and changed it to zero

Today is my last day of Prime and I tried a few more "glitch" sale orders. I'm probably, clinically insane. I would typically renew Prime but was a little upset about the post-price order guarantee removal. Maybe, I'll renew in a year or so.

Strong-armed robbery? My mention of the knife was in reference to the lowlifes who take movies off store shelves and slash through the plastic security seals to slip out the discs, which they then stash in their pants for a "five-finger" discount.

Turning these "deals" over for profit by reselling them is even more amoral.

If stealing is wrong in any case, it is wrong in every case. The fact that Amazon is a big, big company doesn't make your standard lowlife thief into a noble Robin Hood when he manages to steal something from them. He's still just a lowlife thief.

Using that logic, one could argue that it would be OK for someone just starting out collecting blu's to steal a few from you - since you have such a rich collection anyway your probably wouldn't miss them. But I'm guessing you wouldn't feel that way if someone came into your house a took a dozen.

The bottom line to all of this, is that a big company made a mistake, and then corrected their mistake. It happens all the time with every retailer. At my store we get emails all the time about mistakes in ad flyer's and various promotions, which we try to address immediately and do right by our customers.
I believe that Amazon did their best to do right by us, but those of you who continue to hound them with emails upon emails to get in on a few more free blu rays are really abusing the system. Amazon probably has hundreds of customer reps and they aren't all aware of what one does or another, so yes if you get rejected by one you might well not by another. It is no different than trying to return something at Best Buy that you clearly shouldn't be able to, getting rejected, and so walking into another and trying to do it there too. Odds are you won't get it done their either, but maybe, MAYBE you'll get lucky and the customer rep knows you, or thinks you are attractive, or had a lousy day and wants to get back at their boss, or doesn't want to deal with being screamed at, and so they go against company policy and let it slide. Just like at Amazon, I'm sure these customer reps know full well the policy, but maybe they have a unsteady grasp of the English language, or they think by appeasing you it will help their company reputation in the long run. So yes, go ahead and whine, whine, whine until you get a $20 item for free....but in the end how do you feel about your self to go to such great lengths to rip off a well-meaning company for that $20?
