Well I'm trying again with that form letter type email that somebody posted in your link NYC. I'm trying the Kingdom, American Gangster and 40 yr old virgin. I'll let you guys know.

It's one thing to inquire about a sale while the page is posted on their site to find out what the real status is and if it's going to be honored.

It's totally abusive to request it way after the page was taken down and explained it was an error.

I made my two orders on Sunday when the deal was "legit" and never got a reply...but thanks to this new info I sent in again and both were honored. Thanks for the heads up! Although I for one will not be abusing this for new orders...just wanted the two that I put in before to at least get an answer, and I'm glad that it was a good answer I got

As I mentioned previously I place my order over the weekend and sent an email right away. I never heard back so I sent the email again letting them know. I just received a response and they refuse to honor the sale for me.

It sucks that those who ordered days after I did are getting the deal...

Exactly and I just order Hellboy II Collectors Edition, Austin Powers set, and Christmas Story Ultimate Collectors Edition. I got Christmas Story for free

1st: This was never a "public" sale on the web site - it only went out to those on a specific opt-in email list.

2nd: They've since corrected that mailing by sending out a new letter explaining the mistake to every address on that same email list.

STILL browbeating employees to honor the never-intended sale after all this is pretty low. You might as well go to a Best Buy with a pocket knife and stuff some blu-rays down your pants. Same thing.

well i must be on the specific opt-in email list because i got the email and yes i got the other email to. figured i give it a shot and if it wasn't supposed to be a sale they could have denied my request for it but they didnt. i dont think we're gonna break amazon with this sale, but i do see your point.

Man I'm going to put Amazon out of business by asking for a free blu-ray . Also equating strong-armed robbery to continuing to ask for a promotion that was never intended is no way one in the same . Geez are you the Amazon Security Monitor?

I read about the sale online, tried it once or twice, never received any type of email from amazon. Want to try again? Maybe you could have me go after a BB employee with the knife this time?
