Default $150 back from Sony

$150 card credit with purchase of over $299 with Sony Card.

I did this with a receiver when it was only $100 back. Got my first bill paid it off and canceled the card.

New 80gb PS3 $400 - $150 = $250

Refurbished deals on other BD players. I'm assuming this works with refurbs I didn't check it out

BDP-S1 (refurb) $350 - $150 = $200

BDP-S500 (refurb) $500 - $150 = $350

The $150 is old news....

I hate to support Sony, but consider a brand new BDP-S350 is better than a BDP-S500 (which can't bitstream/decode DTS-HD MA) in both prcie, audio support, and speed

So I'm assuming this would work on a purchase of $299 in blu rays as well or does the individual item have to be more than $299? If that's the case it'd come out to $12.50 or less for 12 movies.

Not a bad deal. Would make the BDP-S350 $249.99, w/ interest free financing.

You can make this deal even better. If you watch ebay you can pick up sony style gift cards for below cost. I did this a while back i'd buy $100 sony style gift cards for around $80

I checked and you are able to use this deal to purchase blu-rays. The Sony website carries blus from ALL studios and not just Sony, so it should be fairly easy to find 12-15 blu-rays because there are plenty of pre-orders as well.

The movies available ship out right away and pre-orders will ship out as they're released.

Great work! I was just going to look into this myself. So I could place a $300 order for Blu-rays (and you are correct that they have more than just their own studios' BD's for sale) and get a credit back on that for $150. The regular prices of their discs average out to about $3 more than Amazon or DVD Planet's prices. With $300 you would be able to score about 10-13 BD's depending on what prices the ones you want are (they range from $23-30 for most titles). So by my calculations, you would wind up getting your discs for an average of $11.50-$15 apiece. That's a pretty good deal considering this includes being able to pre-order stuff.
