Default Best Buy deal for Reward Zone Members who purchased dvds, blus, cds

credit goes to subzero9001

I have never seen this posted on this forum but i found it on another forum. I know this Promotion has ended but if you email them saying you bought (#) Movies in between these dates they will credit your account with the points. so a couple of days ago i emailed Best Buy online and told them that i bought 6 Blurays in between this time and they credited my account with 500 which is equal to a $10 Gift card.

This might be a little confusing sorry.

Earn a $5 bonus reward certificate for every 3 CDs / DVDs

If you're a music or movie buff, here's the Reward ZoneŽ program perk you've been waiting for.

For every three CDs and/or movie titles you purchase at select stores near you, you'll earn a $5 bonus reward certificate!

Here's how it works:

From 5/11/08 through 8/9/08, earn a $5 bonus reward certificate for every three music CD and/or movie titles you buy at any Best Buy store, in any combination. Purchases do not have to be made on the same receipt.

Buy them one at a time or all at once. Either way, you earn the points!

Terms & Conditions
Go to a select Best Buy store to make your initial purchase of any CD and/or movie title, and earn a $5 bonus reward certificate (250 bonus points) for every 3 music CD and/or movie titles you buy at any Best Buy store. Program members cannot earn bonus points in combination with other promotional points offers. Bonus points will not be multiplied. Best Buy employees are not eligible for this promotion. Not valid on any BestBuy.com order, including store pickup. Subject to program rules.

Anyway, I emailed best buy myself through their contact us section of the reward zone section. They got back to me within a few hours and stated I would indeed be getting $70 dollars worth of certificates due to purchases I made in the past months. On top of that they threw in $15 extra due to any inconveniance. So $85 total that I never knew was even coming

I've bought multiple CDs and DVDs from them in this time frame, so I just emailed them requesting certificates. Thanks OP!

EDIT: I just got a response from BB and I apparently bought 15 CD/DVDs during this time frame (I honestly had no idea how many), so I'm getting $15 in RZ certificates. Excellent since I didn't even know about this deal. Again, thank you OP!

You should be getting $25. I just found out I purchased 14, and they are giving me $20.

no problem people just passing along the deal that I found as well

it was nice for me as well since I had no knowledge that best buy was even doing this. The $85 in certificates I might end up just using for Heroes season 1 on blu or i'll hold onto them for best buy sales. We'll see

Hmmm... Perhaps I'm misreading their email:

I checked your account and found that you are eligible to receive the bonus points for purchasing a total of 15 CDs/DVD at the store (not online) since 05/11/08 up to 08/09/08. Thus, I've just credited your account the 3750 (250 * 15) points today. Simply wait from 3 to 5 business days for them to show on the website.

$5 in RZ certificates equal 250 points, so this would seem to imply that I'm getting $15 in certificates, right?

this was my email

Thank you for contacting Best Buy about your Reward Zone account. I will be more
than glad to assist you.

Let me inform you that apparently it was due to a system issue that you were not
receiving those certificates, however I am pleased to inform you that I already
corrected that. We are going to award with $70 (23 cds/dvds) plus another $15 to
make up for the inconvenience. Those certificates will be posted in 7 to 10
business days.

I do apologize for any further inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

You probably overpaid by at least that much if your paying best buy retail price. I'll stick to this site and amazon (and other bargains online) for my blu's

I think I just understood my email: 3750 would result in $75 worth of certificates, not $15. I'm going to kick myself because before I noticed this, I just sent them another email asking for the extra $10, and they will no doubt catch their mistake. Ugh.

I only go to best buy for sales mostly that amazon ends up matching anyway. I use them for cds mainly but even amazon is taking away from that now. The only blu rays I remember overpaying for at best buy were Cloverfield and There Will Be blood during the whole amazon/paramount disc issues

Thanks goes to the OP!!! I bought three dvd's during this period which were on sale at Circuit City for $3.99 each. I emailed and they are giving me the $5 RZ and so now I will have paid $7 for them instead of $12. Thanks.
