Just a guess here but I think Amazon temporarily drops prices when sales projections for a given aren't met and excess inventory is the result. Who knows how many players were sold with the temporary drop, but I know to get in quick if it is something I want.

$324.09

This is sorta fun. Yog-Sothoth is winning.

It'd be cool if Amazon allowed you to set purchase triggers like you can with stocks. 'Buy - Qty: 1, Item: BD-P1500 @ Limit/$280. Expiration: GTC + Lightning Deal'

$297.82

I would if I didn't already have two BD-UP5000s (based on similar hardware).

Just bought one for $270 shipped through Amazon (not the other seller on the main page). I used my $50 HD DVD rebate to bring the price down. I have 142 BDs with another 30 or so on order so I figure it's time I bought a BD player so I can start watching them
