Lightbulb All California Circuit City Stores will be getting Tax-Free on Aug. 9-10!

Circuit City to sell all items tax free!

August 7th, 2008, 7:00 am, posted by HANG NGUYEN

Shoppers will get a tax break at all California Circuit City stores on Aug. 9-10.

Circuit City will absorb the cost of state and local sales taxes for all purchases made in all of its 95 California stores, including 12 in Orange County. The savings for shoppers average 8 percent.

California Circuit City stores have beefed up inventories in anticipation of this upcoming weekend and are extending store hours. Statewide, store hours on Saturday will be 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The tax break is an effort to lure shoppers during the key back-to-school shopping season, which is the second busiest period behind Christmas. The chain is also trying to help offset high gas prices.

Circuit City has been struggling. Consolidated sales at its stores open at least a year fell 11.3 percent in the fiscal fist quarter ended May 31, according to a company press release.

Shit, i still have to drive? My CC is 7 miles away.

If the prices are 15$ and below, I will, but not for 19.95.

This were you save on tax but they raise the prices, so you think you're saving.
