Yes, even if it is for a day, it's under that $300 some are wanting.

I was holding out for the Panasonic 30 or even the 50. Is this player any good? Worth grabbing?

I know I can read reviews but personal opinions are always more valuable to me.

I love the S300 but be warned it is profile 1.0. If you want 1.1 and/or 2.0, you will probably want to get the new S350.

I'd buy a profile 1 for my bedroom, but not for $300.

And I hope to God none would pay ~$300 for such antiquated hardware.

My mom bought one with my blessing because she doesn't watch special features, so doesn't need bonus view. And she will never hook it up to the internet so she doesn't need a profile 2 player. For someone who just wants a very good picture, it was a good deal.

Its not the lack opf special feature, I have read there are several movies that will not play at all in this unit.

I bought one at Traget yesturday for about $242.00 by opeing a Target card, but I am returnining it today and will wait on the 350 model on sale, a much better unit.
